Figure 19.5,19.6 are very important. Einstein’s photoelectric equation is important. Practice various and MCQS.                                                                                                                                                               

Make clear understanding regarding work function. Concept of threshold frequency is important. Relation of energy with K.E of photon is important. Must consult notes for this article. For your information on page 187 is important.

ü Broglie’s wavelength:

Read article 19.7 till uses on page 195. Memorize formulae of wavelength and practice its variations. Skip experiment, must memorize formulae and practice variations.

Read article 20.1,20.2 complete till page 208. Make clear understanding regarding types of spectrum.                                                                                                                              Value of Rydberg’s constant is important. For your information on page 204 is important try to memorize values. Postulates of Bohr’s model is important.                                                                                     

Angular momentum formulae a standard value of quantized radii and quantized energies. Relation of radii with V and K.E s important. Skip string experiment.                                                                                

Concept of ionization potential is important. Figure 20.5 most important. Memorize shell no. and energy. Example 20.1 is important. Memorize just energy values up to n=5.

Read complete article 20.3 till page 212. Concept of inner shell transition is important. Characteristics of x-ray tube is important. Figure 20.7 is important. Make clear understanding regarding characteristics and conditions of x-rays.                                                                                                     Concept of minimum wave length and maximum is important. Phenomenon of braking radiation is important. Figure 20.8 is very important.                                                                                                                      Properties, uses and biological effect of x-rays is important. Give a read memorize important lines and values. Must consult notes for this topic.
