SI units: Base and Derived Quantities, Memorize table 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3

ü International System OF Units:

Memorize Table 1.1,1.2 & 1.3

Practice to find the units for all the derived quantities throughout the UHS syllabus. It is present in our notes in compiled form.

Make clear understandings regarding supplementary units. i.e. radian and steradian.

ü Prefixes and symbols to indicate decimal quantities,submultiples and multiples:

Memorize table 1.4

Give a read to the conventions used in writing the units.

ü Errors and uncertainties:(V.V.V. Imp topic)

Try to clear the concept to find absolute and percentage uncertainties.

Then, read the book lines and practice the MCQs.

ü Fractional and percentage uncertainties:

Must clear concept about precision and accuracy. Clear concepts regarding fractional and percentage uncertainties. Practice numerical questions.

Read Article 1.6

 

 

ü Assessment of total uncertainties: (Most high yield topic. Numerically very important)

Read topic 1.7 clearly.

Memorize the methods for finding the uncertainties in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Pay special attention to power factor. Average value uncertainty measurements and timing experiments uncertainties.Practice MCQs as much as you can.

Give a read to topic 1.1, try to memorize information table on page no.7, Age of Earth/Universe, One day/year.

Read do you know on page no. 9

Must memorize information table on page 14.Understand and memorize all dimensions from the book.
