FIRST YEAR HISTOLOGY: CIRCULATORY SYSTEM, LYMPHOID SYSTEM, INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM & RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

Aoa. Hope you all are fine and having good health. Today I am going to post guidelines related to the few remaining topics.

Circulatory system

You have to do capillaries,arteries and veins along with there types only. Imp seqs are;

•types of capillaries
•histological difference between arteries and veins.
Diagrams are important too so prepare them well.

Lymphoid system

Give a thorough read of first two pages of the chapter from laiq hussain. Imp questions start from cells of immune system.  You have to do the whole chapter as it is an important one. The seqs that mostly come from this chapter are;

•thymus,tonsils,spleen
•types of tonsils
•hassals corpuscles
•open and close circulation
•functions of spleen
•among diagrams,the spleen is most important.

Integumentary system

In this chapter important topics are

• thick skin; prepare epidermis,the cells in epidermis,layers of epidermis,dermis,sweat glands.
• thin skin; prepare hair, sebaceous glands.
• also do effects of over exposure to sunlight

Imp seqs are

•comparison between epidermis, dermis, hypodermis.
•difference between thick and thin skin.
•eccrine, apocrine, sebaceous glands.
Prepare mammary gland too from laiq hussain.

Respiratory system

This is the last topic of histology related to first year.
Prepare principal functions of this system, portions of the air passages of respiratory system,nasal cavities and  three regions ,larynx, trachea,lungs, airways within lungs.
Imp seqs are;
•respiratory epithelium
•diffference between intra and extra pulmonary bronchi
•type 1 and type 2 alveolar cells
•respiratory membrane
•dust cells.

Here ends the histology syllabus of first year. prepare diagrams and past papers properly.
Stay safe.
