Assalamualaikum!
ANISA ASGHAR here as HISTOLOGY AUTHOR, MBBS SESSION 2018-23. Here's is the introductory post to Histology.

In WRITTEN EXAMINATION there are 9 MCQs and 1 SEQ with a total of 14 Marks. In VIVA/PRACTICAL there are 10 Un-Observed Stations and 1 Observed Station with a total of 20 marks

WRITTEN EXAMINATION:
you have table of specifications for MCQs from UHS and for SEQ it can be from any topic. It can be a question or mostly it's a diagram.

VIVA/PRACTICAL:
FOR OBSERVED STATIONS:
For unobserved stations you have to identify the slide and then write it with two identification points. These identification points are also given by UHS. Each station caries 1 mark ( 0.5 for identification and 0.5 for two identification points)
10 MARKS FOR UNOBSERVED STATIONS.
FOR OBSERVED STATIONS:
You will be given a slide and a microscope you have to fix it and then identify it, mention the identification points and then draw the diagram. Examiner Will have a mini viva at the end. Identification is of 1 mark , 1 marl for drawing 1 for labeling. 7 marks for the viva.
HISTOLOGY NOTEBOOK:
You have histology Labs regularly through out the session and you have to complete your histology Notebook in which you draw diagrams and write briefly about the topic. Lab's attendance is also important. This notebook carries 5 Marks in your final assessment.
BOOKS:
You have HISTOLOGY BOOK by Professor Laiq Hussain which is your main book.
Difiores Atlas for HISTOLOGY is just like Netter Atlas which you use for Gross Anatomy.
(Plus I have some summary notes which Will definitely share with you all. There are some tables And flow sheets which will help you understand the concepts.)

In next post IA I'll share the study plan and all the imp stuff related histology with you guys. I hope this post is helpful for you.
Thank you & Stay safe!
